Maiden of Seafoam

One of my latest pieces is 'Maiden of Seafoam'. A goddess of the ocean... she is based on a photo I took of myself over a year ago, with plenty of painting and photo textures mixed in to create the sea-inspired costume and sea shore surrounds.

The original photoshoot for the stock photo was in the middle of the hottest day of the summer... 40 degrees Celsius! I was literally melting in this costume, despite it being just a few meters of chiffon and a cotton slip dress.
Thankfully the finished sea goddess looks cool and in control of her rippling seafoam gown!

I'd love to do some more themed photoshoots in future and now that I have a remote control for my camera (and I'm learning how to use it) this should be possible to do by myself. Human helpers would be more helpful of course, but inspiration tends to strike at the most inconvenient of times ;)

Would you like to suggest a theme for my next photoshoot? Comment below & bear in mind my hair is looking positively medieval at the moment. Waist length and tangled...there is probably a bird nesting in it somewhere...
